Linking to Resources in Blackboard

• If you are on campus, you can copy and paste the link from the URL address. It will look something like this:
  https://hub.exchangepress.com/video/12376/
• If you are off campus, you can copy and paste the link from the URL address bar, however, this will result in an extra log in screen which some students find confusing. (See method 2 if you still want to use these links)
• Or see the Ed.Flicks Video Links for BB spreadsheet for links you can paste into Blackboard.
• If you want a link added to the spreadsheet, or are having problems with the links, contact Stacy Mose at moses@matc.edu or Cathryn Miller at millercf@matc.edu.
• Students will still get the MATC login screen, but they just need to enter their school email address and password.

When you are off campus, you can copy and paste the link from the URL address bar. The link will look something like this (Note the portion highlighted in yellow. This signifies you are off campus): 
https://hub-exchangepress-com.eu1.proxy.openathens.net/video/12376/

When students click on this link in BB, they will get the following log in screen. They can then start typing in "Milwaukee" in the search box and then click on the link "Milwaukee Area Technical College" when it appears. The next window will be the MATC sign in screen where they will enter their MATC email address, and the same password used for Blackboard.

However, this screen can be confusing to some students so if you want to avoid that login screen...

• Have students log into Ed.Flicks FIRST at this link:  https://guides.matc.edu/edf  and THEN click on the link that you copied and pasted in Blackboard.
• Or you can use the links in the  Ed.Flicks Video Links for BB spreadsheet to avoid this extra login screen.

In Blackboard, Click on the plus sign and Create. 

Click on the Link button to create a new link

On the Web Link tab, make the link Visible to students, enter the title, and paste in the URL you copied from above. Make sure the Open in New Window box is checked. Save.
