Linking to Resources in Blackboard

First click on the video you would like to link to, then on the Share dropdown button, and then "Copy Direct Link." This is the link you will paste into BB.

• It is preferred to copy this link while you are on campus, or using the VDI, so your link will look something like this
  https://digitalcampus.swankmp.net/matc378407/watch/781D997104711397?referrer=direct
• If you are off campus, your link with look something like this. Note the extra character string in the URL:
  https://digitalcampus-swankmp-net.eu1.proxy.openathens.net/matc378407/watch/9DC70820AEC48222?referrer=direct
• This link will still work, however, students will see an extra login screen which can be confusing. The Logging into Databases Off-campus guide explains how to log into this screen.

Note: If students are having problems accessing a video, you can always give them the link to Swank Videos (https://guides.matc.edu/swd), and they can search for the video by title.

In Blackboard, Click on the plus sign and Create. 

Click on the Link button to create a new link

On the Web Link tab, make the link Visible to students, enter the title, and paste in the URL you copied from above. Make sure the Open in New Window box is checked. Save.
