Calls for Proposals / Papers for May 2023

The Online Learning Consortium (OLC) is currently accepting applications for the OLC Accelerate 2023 conference, which will be held virtually on October 3-5, 2023 and in-person in Washington, D.C. from October 24-27, 2023. This year’s conference theme is “Creating Connections: Uniting Learners through Collaboration and Creativity.” In order to highlight open education’s thriving community of practice, OLC is searching for projects that promote theory, research, methodology, or utilizes successful online, blended, and digital teaching and learning strategies. The submission deadline for proposals is MAY 8, 2023.

The Open Education Global 2023 Conference will take place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (Amiskwaciwâskahikan), from October 16-18, and invites proposals for conference sessions. Proposals are due May 15. 

National OER Opportunities

Attend the MAY 10, 2023, 1 pm webinar Understanding Student Experiences of Renewable and Traditional Assignments by the National Consortium of Open Educational Resources (NCOER) and hosted by the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC). THis webinar will "share [a] recent study's findings on the role of open pedagogy in increasing student engagement." Click on the link to Register.
