Coronavirus (COVID-19) update

Hello, students and staff:

Good news! Your favorite MATC tutors will be available online, by phone and in virtual (and some in-person) classrooms for Fall!

Students, you can find a Walk-In tutor by checking the Online Tutoring Schedules. Click on your program under its Pathway to find tutors' courses, schedules and room links. Our Walk-In tutors will work with you in virtual “rooms,” using Blackboard Collaborate. (Don’t worry, they’ll help you learn how to use it if you don’t know!)

You can join the tutor by clicking the link or calling into the session. It’s that simple.

Also, consider using these other online services:

  • NetTutor serves most subject areas. Math and several other tutors are available 24/7. You can access it via myMATC and some Blackboard courses.
  • MATC’s Online Writing Lab (OWL) helps students with papers on any subject, for any class. Allow 24 business hours for a reply.

Instructors, in order to help your students get better access to online tutoring:

  • Share the above information with your students.
  • Enable NetTutor within your Blackboard shell so students can get easy access to this service.
  • Add your tutor(s) to your Blackboard class(es) so tutors can actually interact with students via Collaborate.

Note: Co-requisite, In-Class and Supplemental Instruction tutors will continue to work during class hours in most cases, except they will be available through Blackboard Collaborate.
