"Borage is lush with delicate blue flowers, also blooming all summer long. Pretty to look at, it fills garden space where the soil is not good enough for other plants. I’m hoping it will restore some nutrients when I “chop and drop” it this fall. The flowers are fun to add to salad for a mild cucumber/seaweed flavor, or even for a little snack while I’m working in the garden!"
Here's How it Works: You may "borrow" seeds from the Seed Library during each Fall and Spring ordering season by filling out our Google Seed Library Order Form. There is a limit of 5 packs of seeds per household. Seed packs include planting and growing instructions. Pick up is at the MATC Mequon Campus.
You are invited to collect seeds at the end of the growing season, and bring some back to the Library during the Fall semester to be shared next year. This is optional.
There are no overdue fines! This program is free and open to the public in the Milwaukee area.
