About the MATC Archive

MATC is a national leader in vocational education. The college was founded in 1912 with the goal of removing children from labor abuses that were common around the turn of the 20th century and providing them an education to further enhance their career goals. MATC has grown many times over since its beginnings and now is a fully accredited college with students of all ages.

The MATC Archive collections depict this growth by illustrating how the college’s academic programs have evolved to meet the changing needs of the Milwaukee business and manufacturing communities. It contains records, photographs, and books related to the community, MATC's student population, and our evolving academic programs.
