We tutor students enrolled in MATC courses for free.

In-person help with writing

1. Writing & Technology Center, M241, Downtown Milwaukee, for writing support
   ▶ Personal help with papers
   ▶ Usually open extended hours during Spring and Fall semesters
   ▶ Open limited hours for Summer semester

2. Academic Support Centers in Mequon, Oak Creek and West Allis

5. Online Writing Lab (OWL)
   ▶ Submit papers online for help from MATC staff

6. NetTutor
   ▶ 24/7 online help for English and writing provided by a national tutoring company — free to MATC college students
   ▶ Google: “MATC online writing help”

Papers received by the Online Writing Lab (OWL) after 12:00 p.m. Friday will be responded to on the following workday.

Please send your paper as an attachment in Microsoft Word (.docx) or (.doc) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) to writing@matc.edu, and include the following information in the body of your email:

• First and last name (include on essay submission)
• Student ID number
• Course name and number
• Instructor's name
• Detailed guidelines for the assignment (can be copy/pasted into email from Blackboard)
• Assignment due date

Please allow one to two business days for a response. Papers submitted outside of normal MATC Writing Center hours are looked at when the center next reopens. In other words, papers submitted over the weekend will be returned the following Monday or Tuesday.
