Library Equipment Agreement Form: Home

MATC Libraries’ limited supply of Chromebooks and Hotspots available for semester-long checkout are all due on 8/05/2024. Overdue late fees and replacement charges will be applied if devices are not returned by the due date, and all devices will automatically be deactivated. Renewals aren’t an option as all equipment must be serviced and updated before they are available for checkout again. Please return them to the Libraries' Circulation Desk and NOT in an outside drop box as this may cause damage. 

Checkout for the Fall Semester will begin on  8/19/2024. Devices will be available on a first come first serve basis, while supplies last. Please call ahead for availability, and fill out the Library Equipment Agreement Form prior to pick up.

• A Stormer Pass/MATC ID or other valid photo ID is required for checkout.
• Checkouts are for one semester only and must be returned by the end of the semester.
• Devices may not be renewed and must be returned for maintenance.
• The charging cord will be checked out separately.
• No holds may be placed on the devices. 

Other technology options available:

• Students may use financial aid to purchase devices at the MATC Bookstore or other stores. 
• There are other resources for students like the FAST Fund, which is available for students experiencing economic emergencies.
• Find additional free or low-cost offers from internet service providers on the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin website, as well as a map of public Wi-Fi locations in Wisconsin.
• Connect to the free, MATC Wi-Fi “MATCGUEST” while on campus.
• There are also free outdoor WiFi parking lots available at some MATC locations.
• Computers with Internet access and printing are available in the Academic Support Centers and MATC Libraries.

• The Downtown Milwaukee Campus Library has a limited supply of laptops and devices for Animation and CSG students.
• Macbooks are also available to Graphic Design (GRDS) or Audio Production (Audio) students.
• Students must show class schedule indicating ANIM, CSG, GRDS, or Audio enrollment. Please call ahead for availability,        414-297-7030.
• Please fill out the Library Equipment Agreement Form prior to checkout.

You will be responsible for items that are lost, damaged, or stolen, while they are checked out in your name, so please don't leave equipment and/or devices unattended. Replacement costs for equipment are as follows, and are subject to change:

• Chromebook cords: $15
• Chromebooks: $400.00
• Chromebooks with wifi : $550.00
• Laptops (IT):  $1,100.00
• Laptops (Library owned): $1,900.00
• Laptops (Animation): $2113.00 - $2,538.00
• Hotspots:  $360.00
• Hotspot cords: $15
• Macbooks:  $2,199.00
• Leap Motion Controllers:  $105.00
• Tablets (Animation):  $90.00
• WaveLab software key: $280.00
• Wacom tablets: $380.00
• Other item replacement charge: Cost of item or $100, whichever is higher
• Damage charge: $75.00 up to replacement charge
